Debbie Jungmin Lee — Storyteller in Ilsan, South Korea
Today, I had the joy of meeting an inspiring neighbor — an author and community leader whose life’s work is helping others follow their dreams with heart and joy.
Like many of us raised in the US or South Korea, Debbie grew up in a culture obsessed with success- often at the cost of connection and well-being. That environment, heavy with pressure and isolation, led to the loss of her younger brother during his college years. During her career in finance and international business, she began searching for a truer meaning for her life. That search led her to study directly with Jack Canfield, to write four books on parenting and mindset, to open a co-working space rooted in purpose, and to champion storytelling across the world.
Two beautiful ideas she shares throughout her work are:
“Heartwork” — doing work that comes from love
“Happifying the world around us” — uplifting lives by sharing what matters most to us
Meeting her today felt divinely timed.
This year has been the beginning of my own commitment to live desde amor — from love — and to inspire others to do the same. A commitment I was able to make and follow through on after collecting my experiences and perspectives up to this point.

And this is just the beginning.
As Debbie — and so many beautiful storytellers — remind us: “More becomes possible when we invite others into our vision, and when we choose to lead from the heart.” Whatever you’re working towards, I invite you to share your visions with me and fellow neighbors.
